Responsible for Network Upgrade converted over 600 Walgreens stores from Frame Relay (512k) service provider AT&T to a much faster (MPLS 1.5m) IPVPN ;service provider XO Communications.

We converted the Network from old billing system Remedy to new billing system Pinnacle within a six month period.

Engineer- Network Engineer (Network Implementation/Provisioning

Oversaw Network Provisioning and Implementation of Verizon business network consisting of DS1s, DS3's, oc1's, oc3's, Ethernet, and ROADM Circuit design and grooming circuits to optimize network for cost savings

•       Contributed to team effort of route optimization project, which recovered Sonnet equipment from empty and low usage oc48s and oc192s. Groomed, reutilized, or decommissioned systems, resulting in equipment capital avoidance savings of $1.0.9M.

•       Instrumental in completing route optimization project; decommissioned 270 Sonnet rings with 551 elements for a capital recovering saving of $18.5M, end of year 2009.

•       Contributed to team effort of route optimization project at end of the month January 2010; 17 Sonnet elements were decommissioned for equipment capital avoidance savings of $510,000.

•       Played key role in decommission clean-up project as of February 12, 2010, scrubbing 333 circuits. 141 circuits were disconnected and 10 additional circuits pending’ disconnect. Total savings YTD is $20,225.

MCI, Downers Grove and Oakbrook Terrace, IL2000 - 2006

Circuit Designer II (Downers Grove)2005 - 2006

Completed provisioning and circuit design on-net and off-net DS3 and DS1. Managed project for all database clean-up for major equipment cutovers, such as DACS or Switch cuts

•       Contributed to team effort of DACS optimization project. Researched circuits with 3 or more hops for potential optimization, resulting in a recovery of 2,106 DACS ports and 408 MUX ports for an approximate savings of $346,500.

•       Contributed to team effort of DACS optimization projects of July 15; completed 1899 circuit grooms to date with an actual savings of $771,600. The initiative helped the DACS port shortage and eliminated the requirement to purchase new DCS equipment in some markets.

•       Instrumental in Enhanced Dial Network (EDN) project; reduced MCI line cost by $123 million in 2005, which was the largest single line cost savings project.

•       DACS Optimization Project Cities: Philadelphia, New York, and Boston. YTD cost savings $1.7M.
